COLLATERAL: MAXIMUM LETHALITY is a third-person tactical shooter currently in closed beta. This policy explains what information the game handles and why.
What we collect
Platform account details. If you play online through Steam, the game uses Steam (operated by Valve). We receive your Steam account ID and persona name so lobbies and matches work. Closed-beta builds distributed outside Steam use Epic Online Services instead, and we receive your Epic Account ID and display name for the same purpose.
Voice chat. The game has push-to-talk voice chat with your team. Voice is streamed live to other players in your match through the online service you play on (Steam or Epic Online Services) and is not recorded or stored by us.
Bug reports you choose to send. The beta has an in-game bug report key (F8) that saves a short note you type, your in-game position, match state and a screenshot of the game to a folder on your computer. Nothing is uploaded automatically; it only reaches us if you choose to send the files.
Crash and technical logs. The game writes log files to your computer. If you send them to us to fix a problem, we use them only for that. After a crash, a version of the game may ask whether to send the crash report. Nothing is sent unless you choose SEND (or ALWAYS SEND). The prompt lists the files: a crash dump (a snapshot of the game's memory and state at the moment of the crash, which can include your Steam or Epic player name and the names of players in your match), the crash description file and the game log. They are uploaded over an encrypted connection to our private cloud storage (Amazon Web Services), used only to find and fix bugs, and deleted after 90 days. You can ask us to delete a report at any time by emailing us.
Local settings. Graphics, audio, controls and key bindings are stored only on your computer.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment details, contact lists, precise location or the contents of your files. The in-game text chat is shown only to the players in your match and is not stored by us; the game has no other user-generated content. We do not sell personal data and we do not show ads.
How we use information
To run online lobbies and matches, to fix bugs and balance the game, and to answer your support requests.
Sharing
We share data only with Valve (Steam) and Epic Games as our platform, identity and voice providers, under their own privacy policies, and with service providers who help us run the game under contract.
Children
COLLATERAL: MAXIMUM LETHALITY contains violence and mature themes and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
You can play offline practice without signing in. You can mute any player in voice chat, and you can ask us to access or delete data we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. Uninstalling the game removes local settings and bug report files.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and update the effective date.
